Valuing the Individual, Celebrating Achievement, Learning for Life.
An Introduction to Sherwood Park School
Sherwood Park is a Foundation special school for learners aged between 3 and 19 years that have Severe/Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and/or disabilities (SLD/PMLD), as well as learners who, additionally, are on the Autistic Spectrum (ASD) with complex needs.
But it is so much more than that. The Sherwood Park and Sherwood Hill campuses are unique learning communities – unique because they constantly develop and grow to meet the highly individualised needs of each of the learners. The rich curriculum and strong teaching, delivered through the integrated approach of our teaching, therapy and nursing teams reflect and ensure the achievement of the aspirations and outcomes of all of our young people - from the moment they embark on their learning journey to the point they transition to adulthood. We value each of our learners for the individuals they are and celebrate achievement at every opportunity.
And we are truly a community, with everyone contributing to the development and wellbeing of our learners – our wonderful parents, carers, families and Governors, as well as other professionals and our many supportive partners.
If you are already linked to Sherwood Park, then you know what a dynamic, professional and caring school it is. If you are visiting our website for the first time then please take a few minutes to watch our video and dip into the information contained in this website.
